I’m going to start by saying that I’m not a doctor, dermatologist or health trainer. I just like to take care of my body the best way I can and these are some of the things I discovered in time and that work for me.
Nobody told them to me, I didn’t read about them anywhere, they are just useful information that I obtained trough the years, doing mistakes, learning from them and trying to find solutions to some of my skin related problems.
I know they are not revolutionary solutions. Most of us know them, it’s just that sometimes we need to be reminded of the things we know already, and when someone does that, we manage to acknowledge them a bit better.
9 TIPS FOR YOU TO HAVE A NICER AND CLEANER FACE, WITHOUT RED SPOTS, ACNE, DRY SKIN, DARK CIRCLES AND JUST A SMOTHER AND HEALTHIER SKIN IN GENERAL
Tip Nr.1 Pop pimples only if necessary and apply cold water and ice after.
Let’s say you wake up one morning and you knowtest you have two-three new pimples on your face.
After dealing with the frustration and irritation of seeing what just happened with your lovely face, first you assess how bad is the situation. If you must, try to pop only the ones that you know for sure are ready, what I mean by that is the fact that if you pop a pimple that is not ready, this will only make the skin even more red and irritated than it already is. So after popping the pimples that were “ready”( and when I say “ready” you know what I mean, this subject is unpleasant as it is, we don’t need to go into more details).Make sure you wash your face with cold water for couple of minutes, if you can, apply some ice afterwards, that would be perfect.
If you plan on going out that day put just a small drop of makeup on it, leave it for one minute and after that level it around the pimple using one finger till it’s nice and even.Tip Nr.2 Make sure you get enough sleep.
One of the most important keys in having a nice and clean and rested face is SLEEP. Make sure you sleep at least 7 hours a night, and seven is the minimum here, if you can sleep 8-9 hours a night that would be perfect.
Nothing is more important for your face than a good and restful sleep.
Not getting enough sleep could result in having, dry skin, redness, of course dark circles, sometimes pimples and over all not a healthy looking face. I think the word I’m looking for is “tired” if you don’t get enough sleep, you will have a tired face.Tip Nr.3 Cut down on sugar
Try to reduce or eliminate the sugar you consume daily. Sugar is known to cause sometimes acne, inflammation or redness on your face.
For me personally, sugar was always an important factor in developing pimples, all the time when I was eating let’s say a slice of cake, the chances were 50%-50% to wake up the next morning with a pimple on my face. If I had let’s say 2 slices of cake, the chances were 100% that the next day somewhere on my face there will be a form of acne.
So I knowtest what was happening and when I started to cut down the sugar, don’t get me wrong, I eat a slice of cake once in a while but as long I don’t exaggerate there are no problems.
Tip Nr. 4 Drink less milk
Milk is also known to cause redness and acne and the same as with the sugar I knowtest that after consuming milk, sometimes I would have the unpleasant surprise of seeing some red spots or pimples on my face and in this case I just replaced the regular milk with Soya milk.
For me is not such a big difference and after a while you really don’t even think or care about the regular milk anymore, for me soya milk works just fine. If you don’t like soya milk for some reason, you can also try almond, coconut or oat milk so you can choose the one you prefer.
I used to put milk and sugar in my coffee before and since I stopped using sugar and milk, now I drink my coffee black and I must say that I’m pretty happy with this decision. I love having a nice cup of coffee to start the day properly and not adding sugar or milk let’s you savour better the taste of a freshly made coffee, nothing better!
Tip Nr.5 Bananas can cause redness or acne
That’s right, another important discovery that I made was that bananas also were causing red spots and pimples on my face.
I used to eat a banana every one-two days, I always liked bananas and never had any problems after consuming them. For some reason, after turning 30 years of age, I started to see acne on my face after eating a banana, so you guessed it: I stopped eating bananas and replaced them with other fruits.
No problems there, many other fruits to choose from. I understand it takes a bit of discipline to just stop doing something you like and you enjoyed doing it for years but if you set your mind to it and decide you don’t need it anymore, it’s not going to be very difficult to just accept it and move on.
It’s like making a promise to yourself and do everything you can to keep that promise.
Many people pride themselves with keeping their promises, well why not keep the promises you made to yourself?Tip Nr. 6 Taking too many vitamins can be bad for your skin
It was a time when I believed that taking a lot of vitamins will keep me healthier and will give moreenergy. This is not necessarily true and you should only take vitamins if your doctor recommended it or if you feel you really need it.
I’m not going to quote any scientific evidence here, it is only my opinion and I believe that keeping things simple and not trying to fix what it’s not broken, in my opinion it’s the best way.
Taking vitamins that your body doesn’t need may result in developing acne, redness, inflammation and who knows what consequences on the long term could occur. It’s not that I don’t recomand vitamins, it’s your decision to take them if you belive they will improve your quality of life or help with your recovery after exercising or help you concentrate better. Personally, I decided to keep things more natural, I don’t take any vitamins.
I would if a doctor would recommend me to take vitamins, then maybe I would.
TIP NR.7 Try as much as possible to exercise at least twice a week
We can all agree that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important for your entire body, not only for your face.
We’ll focus on the benefits it has for our face this time and you don’t need me to tell you that working out just makes your whole body function better and of course that will be noticeable on your face as well.Exercising tones the skin and improves blood circulation, reduces the risks of acne, wrinkles, redness, fine lines or saggy skin and you will definitely have a more healthier and better looking face.
I am not going to insist to much here because we all know how important exercising is for our body’s and if you want to have a cleaner and healthier skin, you definitely can’t ignore tip nr 7.
Tip Nr.8 Less fizzy drinks
Most of the fizzy drinks that are on the market now are full of sugars, artificial sweeteners, acids, fructose, a large number of calories and they don’t contain any essential nutrients.
Considering they have so much sugar, of course this will impact in a negative way your skin among many other parts of your body. Comes in mind that according to many studies, people who drink fizzy drinks regularly, have more chances to develop dementia later on in their life.
There are so many studies and articles revealing how bad fizzy drinks really are and you can do your own research regarding this subject and if you’re looking to have better and healthier skin you really need to cut down or eliminate these drinks from your life.
For me personally, the worst ones are: Coca-Cola, Fanta, Pepsi and almost all energy drinks. I never used to drink them regularly, only once in a while and recently I decided to eliminate them completely from my diet.
Tip Nr.9 Alcohol can have a negative impact on your skin
Like I said in the beginning of this article, probably everyone knows these informations it’s not like I’m telling you something new here.Sometimes is good to be reminded of the things you knew already, makes you see them in a different light and helps you to take better decisions for yourself.
Alcohol is bad for you and we’re not talking here about excessive alcohol, even a occasional beer or a glass of wine can be bad for your body.Drinking alcohol affects your brain, hart, liver, pancreas, muscles, immune system, skin and the list can go on. If we are talking just about the skin, some studies suggest that alcohol dehydrates the skin, it dilates the pores leading to blackheads and whiteheads and if you drink let’s say a glass of wine, this will affect your brain, muscles, liver etc and of course it will be noticeable on your face as well. You will have a skin that looks tired, dry, maybe some redness here and there, and you definitely won’t have that glow of a fresh, healthy and rested face.
Red shoes-wow! Jogging trousers-yes!
All I’m seeing here is just a nice big mess!
As the title suggests, I hate red shoes. I never had red shoes and also never considered buying such a thing. I don’t have anything against it if a woman wears red shoes. Actually they look very nice on them.
Who doesn’t like seeing a beautiful woman wearing a black dress for example and some sexy red shoes? The combination is great and a woman dressed like that would definitely recive a tone of compliments.
The problem is when I see men wearing red shoes, it hurts my eyes really bad.
Seriously, have you ever seen a man wearing red shoes and you said “God he really looks good in those red shoes!” That’s never going to happen because red shoes don’t look good on men!
I’ve knowtest so many people with red shoes over the years and not a single one looked good. It’s fascinating to me why people buy this. In my opinion red, just like pink is a colour that should only be wore by women.
I read a comment couple of days ago that really made me laugh. Someone was saying that maybe a man who wears red shoes might be color blind and believes that he is wearing green shoes hahaha.
Leaving all jokes aside, I understand that not everybody has a great taste in fashion and that’s ok. I’m not saying that I am a specialist in this also, but even if you don’t really get how everything works, just do a bit of research and look to see if anyone recommends this or not.
Some men might just like red as colour very much ( can’t really see why) and they think it’s a good idea to buy some red shoes.
Maybe I like blue as a colour, but that doesn’t mean that I will dye my hair blue for this reason. You need to know what works and what doesn’t.
When I see a grown man, wearing red shoes, visually just doesn’t look good, something is off there, it’s not because something I think or know, is just a honest response to what I’m seeing.
Another thing that I hate, same as the red shoes or more are the white jeans for men.
Let me tell you, if one day I’ll see somebody wearing both white jeans and red shoes, walking down the street, probably I will go instantly blind. I would have to see a therapist for a couple of weeks after this scene hahaha.
In the end I want to add that this article is just for entertainment purposes. Consider it like a funny opinion that I’m sharing with you. Everyone can wear whatever they like, I really don’t mind or care.
I don’t have anything against red as a colour. As long as you’re not wearing it on your shoes it’s alright with me. I’ll quote here a few phrases I found on Wikipedia about “Red” and are interesting:
● “Red pigment made from ochre was one of the first colors used in prehistoric art”
● “Pink is a pale shade of red”
● “Primates can distinguish the full range of the colors of the spectrum visible to humans, but many kinds of mammals, such as dogs and cattle, have dichromacy, which means they can see blues and yellows, but cannot distinguish red and green (both are seen as gray)”
● “In modern color theory, also known as the RGB color model, red, green and blue are additive primary colors. Red, green and blue light combined makes white light, and these three colors, combined in different mixtures, can produce nearly any other color”
● “Vermilion pigment, made from cinnabar. This was the pigment used in the murals of Pompeii and to color Chinese lacquerware beginning in the Song dynasty”
● ” Inside cave 13B at Pinnacle Point, an archeological site found on the coast of South Africa, paleoanthropologists in 2000 found evidence that, between 170,000 and 40,000 years ago, Late Stone Age people were scraping and grinding ochre, a clay colored red by iron oxide, probably with the intention of using it to color their bodies”
● “In ancient Egypt, red was associated with life, health, and victory. Egyptians would color themselves with red ochre during celebrations”
● “While red is the color most associated with love, it also the color most frequently associated with hatred, anger, aggression and war”
● “Several studies have indicated that red carries the strongest reaction of all the colors, with the level of reaction decreasing gradually with the colors orange, yellow, and white”
● “Red is the color that most attracts attention”
● “Red is used in modern fashion much as it was used in Medieval painting; to attract the eyes of the viewer to the person who is supposed to be the center of attention”
● ” Red lipstick has been worn by women as a cosmetic since ancient times. It was worn by Cleopatra, Queen Elizabeth I, and film stars such as Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe“.

Why most barbers cut your hair shorter than what you asked them to do??

Let’s be honest, at least once in your life, you’ve been to a barbershop and you asked the guy there to just trim a bit the ends of your hair and he completely went wild and managed to cut your hair so short you had to wear a hat for a while.
We are going to talk about why most barbers cut your hair shorter than what you asked them to do and I am going to give you some useful tips on how to avoid this uncomfortable situation in the future.
First, let’s have a look back in history and see how barbery first started and who were the first people that introduced the concept of barbering.
Apparently, barbering dates all the way back to early 4000 B.C.
In Ancient Egypt, where they used oyster shells and sharpened flintstone to cut the hair. The first Barbershops as we know them appeared in Greece around 296 B.C. Besides cutting hair and trimming beards, barbers also were known to perform medical procedures like dressing wounds, bloodletting, or tooth extracting.
Barberry was introduced to Rome by Greek colonies in Sicily in 209 or 300 B.C.
The romans liked their hair to be of even length, and usually cut short. A messy or more natural hair style was associated with barbarians and showed a lack of culture. Almost all roman men used to shave, having a clean-shaved face was a “sign of being Roman and not Greek”
Believe it or not, the Romans were actually a lot into grooming.
Some of them used to shave their whole bodies and the removal of body hair represented a status indicator, the richer a roman was, the less body hair he had.
And now let’s get back to our little dilemma.
Why most barbers cut your hair shorter than what you asked them to do??
If I am asking you to cut this much length from my hair, why do you cut more than that? Where the information is lost and why?? I had this problem recently, it’s bit funny if you think about it, wasn’t that funny for me at that time.
This is what happened:
A few weeks ago I needed to book an appointment to the barbershop to get a haircut
Because the person who usually cuts my hair was entirely booked for that day, I’ve decided to book an appointment to a different barbershop close to my home.
I go there, I explain to the guy that I only want him to cut the ends of my hair
I even showed him with my two fingers how much is that( the distance between my fingers was about 1cm), all this just to make sure he gets it. He says to me:” Yes, yes of course” and goes to work.
He took the hair from the front of my head with a comb, pulled it between his fingers and asked me how much to cut.
I see in the mirror in front of me that he had there just about the right length I asked him to trim from my hair and I reply:”Yes, that is ok”
Imagine this: The first cut he did was how I asked him
After that I don’t know what happened in his mind because that man started cutting my hair shorter and shorter…and shorter until wasn’t that much left. At one moment I stopped him because he wanted to cut even more.
With a soft voice he asked me:”Is this short enough?”
In that moment I thought my head is going to explode:
“Please remind me when did I tell you that I wanted it short??” I said to him.
“Remember that I told you I want only the ends to be trimmed two minutes ago??
“When did we decide to cut my hair short!??”
He replied that my hair is not short and he thought that was what I wanted.
“But I told you what I wanted, I even showed you how much to cut, you don’t need to guess or imagine what I want because I told you like 2 minutes ago!”
Now my dilemma is this: Why he cut the first bit of hair how I requested and after that went crazy. What changed??
Usually, if you go to the market and you ask for apples and the person there gives you oranges, we have a problem, somehow barbers get a way with it.
Normally, I would have a series of measures in place to prevent this from happening, and they were developed in many years, dealing with all sorts of unskilled barbers.
I didn’t follow my own rules this time because I was in a hurry
Having a 15 months old son and a 12,5 hours day job can present some challenges at times. Also I was at peace with the thought that if this barber will mess my haircut it will be my fault too. Because I should’ve known better. I took responsibility for what ever was about to happen.
Hoping you enjoyed this lovely story, I will present to you the 4 main steps that you should follow when you go to the barber for a haircut and you don’t want him to destroy your hair.
1. Show the barber a picture of how you want your haircut to be, could be a picture of yourself or just a picture you found on the Internet.
2. Try to find a barber that you know is capable. Maybe a friend went there and you like how their hair looks. You can try to find some pictures on their website with haircuts they made. Take a look at what reviews they have, if people are happy or not with the services.
3. When he starts cutting your hair, watch in the mirror in front of you what he is doing. Don’t hesitate to correct him when he is about to cut more than you want him to.
4. Step number four, and the one that I really use all the time. This works best for me in any circumstances: With one day before going to the barber, could be one hour or couple of hours if it works better for you. I cut the ends myself, takes me 5-10 minutes. When I go to the barbershop, I only ask the person there to trim my hair with 0 or 1 on the sides, and to smooth everything out.
The end result is usually very good and most important, is exactly how I want it to be. If you go to a more or less decent barbershop, usually they can do the sides with the blending and fading pretty well. For me always the problem has been with the top of my hair, they always managed to find a way to ruin it.
You don’t need much skills to cut the ends of your hair, just watch a couple of tutorials on YouTube and you should be fine.
You just have to keep in mind that if you cut less than you wanted, you can always go back and cut a bit more till it satisfies your demands, but if you cut too much from the start it’s not going to be a good day.
Ideally would be to find a barber that understands what you want and has also the skills required for the job
I’ve been to some good barbers over the years, great actually but also I’ve been to some “butchers”.
I’m not saying this it’s the best solution, but for me this works the best, it eliminates the risk of getting a nightmare haircut specially if you’re going to a new barbershop.

Top 8 most important advices that will help you not lose your money with crypto.
I will start by saying that just like so many people this days, I was also attracted to the idea of investing in crypto.
So I did my own research for a while, I saw tons of youtube videos and read numerous articles about the different types of cryptocurrencies and the best strategies people use.
When I finally understood what cryptocurrencies are and how they work, I decided to invest around 3000£, money I worked for. Let me tell you that this amount is not small for me, it’s not some change that I had in my wallet, I’m not that rich…yet. After trying most of the strategies out there for a few months, from investing in small cap coins to only trading Bitcoin or Ethereum, from using trading bots or buying even NFT‘s, I tried them all and I will give you 8 precious advices for you not to lose your money if you’re thinking to invest in cryptocurrencies.
And just to make things clear, I am not advising you in any way to invest your money in crypto, these are just some advices that you will find useful if you already decided or you plan on investing in the crypto market.
1. First of all, you must do your own proper research about cryptocurrencies. You really need to learn and understand how everything works before investing any of your money in cryptocurrencies.
It’s important to know what you’re getting yourself into, make sure you understand all the risks, because everybody is talking about how much money you can make from trading crypto but not so many talk about the risks.
2. The second piece of precious information, and none of this so called “experts in cripto” are telling you about is that after you do your research and finally you start investing, most probably you are going to lose a part of the money you invested or in some cases even all of it.
The chances are much higher to lose money when investing in crypto, than to make millions like some people advertise. Try to keep that in mind before investing your hard worked money in something like this.
3. Find a person with experience in the cryptocurrencies world that can teach you how everything works, a mentor if you wish.
You will have more chances to succeed if you are being guided and advised by a more experienced person. This way you will be able to avoid many of the mistakes you usually make when you are just starting something new.
4. The forth advice that I can give you is to be patient and not rush things.
You cannot make money overnight and the people who are actually making money from trading crypto, usually plan their investment on the long term. If you rush and decide to go big and get rich fast, trust me, you are going to lose money. This will become more of a gamble than a serious and well thought investment.
5. Create your own strategy and stick to it, don’t take unnecessary risks.
Taking risks and abandoning your strategy is not the way to do it. Sometimes the price goes up in the crypto market, sometimes it goes down and your emotions will play tricks on you, it’s very difficult to stay focused and not to take risky decisions.
This is when your strategy comes into place and if you stick to the game plan it will be much easier for you to deal with everything.6. Don’t invest more than your originally planned budget.
Set yourself a limit, a reasonable amount that you can afford to lose. Under no circumstances invest more than your planned budget.
Let’s say you lose the amount you had allocated for investing in crypto due to some bad decisions and you take money from your bank account and try to recover what you’ve lost. Chances are you are going to lose more money by doing this so it’s important to don’t go beyond the limit you set up originally.7.If you know you are not the patient type or you just don’t deal with your emotions very effectively in general, my advice is to be mindful when investing in cryptocurrencies.
There will be moments when you will need to stay lucid, be patient and wait. This is going to feel very difficult to do at that time and that’s when you could rush things and take some really bad decisions.
8. My final top tip for you, and it’s an important one: In my opinion and from the experience I have until now, the only way you can actually make money without risking too much is investing on the long term.
Do your research, find a coin with potential to grow, could be a new cryptocurrency or a consecrated one, like Bitcoin. Invest only what you can afford losing and wait until the price of that coin goes up so that you can make a nice proffit when you sell it. This could take months or even years.
Anything other than this is just more like gambling because nobody really knows if the price of a coin will go up or down. Nothing good ever results from gambling.I don’t know anyone that gambled their own money and got rich by doing that.
You can get lucky once or twice but sooner or later you will lose. So my advice to you would be: Don’t gamble, be smart!
I am going put this here just to make it extra clear: I am not a financial expert or advisor and this is not financial advice!
Do your own research before you start investing your own money into cripto. Feel free to take some of my advices or not take any at all. It is your decision.Other posts ↓↓↓

If you are anything like me, your hair is very important to you and you want to make sure that you take good care of it all the time.
For many years I used to wash and shampoo my hair daily and sometimes even twice a day. When I was younger I used to style my hair using Hair gels and many years after I discovered and started using Pomades.
I used to style my hair daily and because of this I had to shampoo it every day to wash the Gel/Pomade away.
Some people believe this is wrong and will cause your hair to fall and you could become bold. That didn’t happen to me,
I didn’t experienced any loss of my hair in all this years. The only side effect I encountered is that my hair was very dry, rightly so considering how often I shampooed it plus using Gel/Pomade daily I’m sure didn’t help at all.
Since I became a bit older and wiser(I’m 35 now) , I don’t use hair gels anymore, I haven’t used one in probably 10 years, there are many other products out there that do a much better job then gels and we can enumerate few like Pomade, Clay, Paste or Wax.
These days I prefer a more natural look and I usually style my hair with only a quiff roller brush and a hair dryer and I don’t put any styling products at all in my hair. A few times a month, when I get bored of the natural look, I will use a Pomade.
No need to say that if I’m using a Pomade let’s say two days straight, I have to wash my hair in both days, you can’t just go to bed with Pomade in your hair, first of all it’s not comfortable and secondly you’ll most probably put Pomade all over your beddings.
Now let’s get to the topic of this discussion:
How many times in a week you should wash your hair for it to be healthy and to look at it’s best?
This varies from one person to another, and it all depends on your lifestyle and on what type of hair you have. If you have oily hair it’s best to wash it daily and on the other side, if you have dry or damaged hair, it’s recommended to wash it less frequently, only once or twice a week.
Also it’s probably a good idea to wash your hair each time you exercise or you use a styling product like pomade, gel or wax. Many “experts” recommend that you should wash your hair up to 3 times a week and I will have to agree with this recommendation, it’s pretty reasonable and it works for most people.
I’m going to share with you my own schedule that I use, it is designed to fit my needs and desires and also to protect my hair.
It’s very simple: I wash my hair each day and once every two days I shampoo it. If let’s say I shampooed my hair Monday, the next day, which is Tuesday I will only wash my hair with water, no shampoo this time.
The reason why I’m doing this is because if I’m taking a shower and I don’t wash my hair also, I don’t feel clean, It’s like something is missing. Washing my hair with only water protects the hair and keeps it clean, fresh with a nice sheen and texture.
So when I’m planning my workout schedule, I need to make sure it falls in the day when I’m shampooing my hair too because you can’t work out and don’t wash your hair properly afterwards, you just can’t.
I use Argan oil twice a week to protect my hair and prevent any damage from washing and styling. My favourite one is Argan Oil of Morocco, doesn’t cost much and it really does a good job.
This oil is rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins and moisturizes and protects my hair, making it also softer and more manageable.
Another thing that I like about it is that you can see the improvement straight away, my hair smells nice, feels and looks much better after applying the oil.(Not a paid add by the way, I just like the product).
Another advice would be to alternate the ways you style your hair: if you use the hair dryer every day that is not going to be good for your hair, the same if you only use Pomade, Wax or Gel.
You need to give your hair time to recover, and alternating from the hair dryer to Pomade/Wax/Gel helps the hair to repair itself and also, when possible.
Try to wear a cap or a hat when you’re going out, this way you don’t need to style your hair, giving you one less thing to worry about and your hair gets a well deserved break.
Going regularly to the barber also helps your hair to be healthy and to look good, and I’m not talking here just about a nice haircut only, cutting the ends for example will make your hair grow healthier and stronger and will help repair any damaged and broken hair.
When it comes to what shampoo to buy, there are so many options to choose from, some do a good job, some don’t so make sure you buy the right shampoo for your hair.
I personally use Head and Shoulders, I’ve been using it for years and never had any issues with it.
Let’s do a quick recap of what we talked about:
– For most people, washing your hair 3 times a week should be enough.
– If you have oily hair, you might need to wash it daily.
-People with dry or damaged hair need to wash their hair no more than once or twice a week.
– Wash your hair after using styling products or after exercising.
– Use Argan oil to keep your hair healthy and moisturised.
– See what works best for you and your hair.
– Go to the barber regularly for a fresh look and also to have healthier hair.
– Give your hair time to recover from using styling products.Check out other posts ↓↓↓
